Larry’s work has moved through several technology eras, but the pattern has remained remarkably consistent: recognize a structural shift early, connect disciplines others treat separately, and build the operating reality beneath the idea.

1980s–90s

The connected world

At EDS and General Motors, Larry helped turn emerging networks, digital media and the early web into working systems—including technology leadership for the 1994 FIFA World Cup and the creation of GM Cyberworks.

1998–2010s

Trust in a digital age

As founder of PrivaSeek and a serial entrepreneur, he worked at the frontier of privacy, identity, advertising infrastructure, analytics and machine learning—building companies around shifts before they became obvious.

Now

Intelligence meets infrastructure

Today, his work joins healthcare, AI infrastructure, energy and markets into operating systems designed to create capacity, resilience, economic value and human benefit.

Calling the next generation of AI infrastructure a data center describes the container while missing the product. These campuses coordinate energy, compute, capital, networks, land, water and community relationships to manufacture usable intelligence at extraordinary scale. The strategic question is therefore not simply where capacity can be built. It is where all of those systems can converge quickly enough—and responsibly enough—to create durable advantage.

A nominal power commitment is not the same thing as operational capacity. Real time to compute depends on the orchestration of supply, generation equipment, interconnection, construction, cooling, networking, permitting and customer deployment. Treating those elements as one coordinated path exposes hidden dependencies early and creates options: behind-the-meter phases, evolving grid participation, storage, solar, fuel cells and other technologies can be sequenced around economics and urgency rather than ideology.

Large infrastructure projects create legitimate questions about water, noise, land, jobs, tax value and long-term accountability. Listening early changes more than the message—it can change the design. The strongest projects build a continuous loop between community concerns, engineering choices, delivery commitments and visible local benefit. That loop creates trust, reduces avoidable friction and helps development move at the speed of shared understanding.
